Four days ago, on November 12th, Marvel comics publisher and director extraordinaire, Stan Lee, passed away at 95 years old. Leaving behind a long legacy of heroism and entertainment, Lee will be remembered as one of the greatest, as his works continue to inspire others.

“Stan Lee was as extraordinary as the characters he created,” said Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger in a statement about Lee’s death. “A superhero in his own right, Stan had the power to inspire, to entertain, and to connect. The scale of his imagination was only exceeded by the size of his heart.”

Lee’s multitude of fans have been understandably upset about his passing. Rather than shrinking in their period of mourning, they have decided to draw and create beautiful tributes to the man who inspired them.

“He has and always will be my hero,” an anonymous JCHS student said. “His works got me through a lot, and I will truly miss him.”
