A migrant caravan in Central America is headed for the U.S. border; President Trump has sent another 800 troops to the border along with the already 2,100 National Guard troops assisting Homeland Security. According to the Washington Post, Mexican officials have estimated that there were 3,630 people in the caravan as of Wednesday. Most of the people in the caravan are suffering from dehydration.
The plan to form the caravan began on October 12 when a group of 160 people gathered together at a bus terminal. They were hoping to come to the U.S. to escape unemployment and violence in their country. It is unclear when they will reach the U.S. border.
