Israel and Palestinian conflict has continued regardless of call for a cease-fire from international leaders, including President Joe Biden. Israel’s military reported that 110 guided bombs were dropped into the Gaza Strip on Monday night and into Tuesday. Israel’s offensive attacks so far has led to 213 Palestinian deaths, including 61 children. Israel’s Defense Forces (IDF) and Hamas have shown no sign of stopping the conflict.

These clashes were the result of increased tensions and protests between Palestinian and Israeli forces. On May 5th, the Biden Administration authorized a $735 million sale of precision-guided weapons to Israel, days before the escalation. Israel is one of the US’s biggest military aid benefactors, with $3.1 billion in aid every year.
