Matt James was announced to be the new Bachelor for the upcoming season shortly following the revealed announcement of Clare Crawley becoming the Bachelorette. James is a friend of Tyler Cameron’s who was a season favorite on Hannah Brown’s season. He has not previously been a contestant on any of the seasons, making him the first to become a Bachelor without previously  being on The Bachelorette. ABC has also recently released a preview for what his season will look like.
