The European Union has filed new antitrust charges against amazon because if their overwhelming power in the world of online shopping. They believe that Amazon is abusing their power and dominance and have opened a second investigation looking into their business policies and structure. The accusations are coming from both France and Germany, two of the EU’s biggest markets. Their first investigation against Amazon was opened back in July of 2019. They found how Amazon was able to marginalized prices among third party sellers, but the EU still suspects something is going on behind closed doors. Amazon denies any fines and accusations, of course. The company states they ensure the accusations are false.
