NBA Finals

The Los Angeles Lakers beat Miami Heat in the 6th game final with a score 106-93, being their 17th championship. It is also the 4th title for star player, LeBron James. James was named most valuable player for the 4th time in his career. The  Lakers led by as many as 36 — with 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. For the series, he averaged 29.8 points, 11.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists while shooting 59 percent from the field.  Through all that’s happened this year it all the Lakers remained determined to chase the franchise’s first championship since 2010, which was also Kobe Bryant’s last title.

“We found a way to play through a pandemic, keep everyone safe and put a spotlight on these critically important [social justice] issues,” NBA commissioner Adam Silver said. “For that, every team deserves to be celebrated.”

The team celebrated their victory with confetti and LeBron James held a victory cigar in his hand.

“It doesn’t matter where it happens if you win a championship,” James said.  “When you get to this point, it’s one of the greatest feelings in the world for a basketball player to be able to win at the highest level.”
