2020 has been a year full of surprises to say the least. Obviously a lot has gone on, but one surprising thing that has come out of 2020 is all the storms. So far 2020 has brought us a total of 23 storms, 15 of which were hurricanes. The latest hurricane forming in the Caribbean Sea has been named ‘Delta.’ It is headed for the Yucatan Peninsula and has been categorized as a category 3 hurricane. It has broken a few records such as the highest wind speed increase in one day and the first hurricane to be named after the Greek alphabet since 2005. The Mexican army’s disaster task force has been preparing and lots of hopes and prayers are being sent to Mexico.Members of the Mexican Army prepare to move toward Valladolid and Tizimin, in Yucatan state, before the arrival of Hurricane Delta.
