On Saturday, October 3rd, Minecraft held a live stream for players to vote for which new mob they want to be added to the game. Viewers had the choice of voting an Iceologer, a hostile mob that attacks players with ice magic, a Glow Squid, a peaceful mob found in water, and a Moobloom, a cow that attracts bees with the flowers that grows on its back.

The Moobloom was disqualified earlier this year, which left players to choose between the Iceologer or Glow Squid via a poll on Minecraft’s Twitter.  The Glow Squid won with 52.7% of the vote while the Iceologer lagged with 47.3% of the vote. The Glow Squid is planned to be added with the Cave and Cliffs update coming Summer 2021.
