Making United Nations’ history, KPop group BTS delivered a speech on Monday as part of a campaign to launch Generation Unlimited, a UN program established to empower youths.
“Even after making the decision to join BTS, there were a lot of hurdles,” said leader Kim Nam Joon in his speech. “Most people thought we were hopeless, and sometimes I just wanted to quit.”
The speech went on to discuss the band’s success, their personal lives, and how they remained positive throughout them.
“We have learned to love ourselves, so now I urge you to speak yourself,” said Kim.
