Hurricane Season Brings More Named Storms In October

The 2020 Atlantic hurricane season has been as chaotic as 2020 itself has been. With 26 tropical cyclones, and 25 named storms, this season is the second most active on record, behind the 2005 season. They’ve run out of letters from the English alphabet, meaning they have now been moved onto the Greek alphabet, starting off with Alpha, Beta, etc. “Hurricane Season” is expected to go on until November 30th, giving 2020 the chance to take 1st place as the most active season on record.
