Last Wednesday, at least 380 whales were found dead in a mass stranding in southern Australia.

The first whale was found on Monday and only 30 of the 460 whale pod survived with 50 of them being rescued. This is the largest mass stranding that has ever taken place in Tasmania. A rescue crew comprised of 60 conservationists, skilled volunteers, and local fish farm works have focused their efforts to saving the whales that are partially submerged in the water.
