Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed at the age of 87. Ginsburg battled with pancreatic cancer for over a decade and ultimately died from complications. Known for her strong opinions and bold statements, Ginsburg was a figure in the courtroom. Graduating top of her class from Columbia Law School, Ginsburg went on to battle gender discrimination as a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union and would become the second woman on the Supreme Court.
Even after her death, Ginsburg’s legacy will remain. Given the name ‘Notorious R.B.G’, she has carved a path for women of all ages in her fight for gender equality. Overcoming discrimination, loss, and never ending illness, Ginsburg always held on to serve the public. She is a symbol of hard work and persistence.
