The Oscars took place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, February 9th, 2020. Many stars appeared in their best dresses and suits to celebrate the winners. The winner for Best Picture was Parasite. It was the first foreign movie to win best picture since the Oscars was created. The winner for best Lead Actor was Joaquin Phoenix for his outstanding performance in the Joker. The winner for best Lead Actress was Renee Zellweger for her spectacular performance in Judy.

The winner for best Supporting Actor was Brad Pitt for his amazing performance in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This is his first Oscar win in his 30 years of being an Actor. The winner for best Supporting Actress was Laura Dern for her incredible performance in Marriage Story. Finally the winner for best Director was Bong Joon Ho for his film, Parasite. Brad Pitt dedicates his first win to his children.

“This is for my kids, who color everything I do,”said Brad Pitt. “I adore you.”
