A surprising turn of events took place this week at Champe that has left many distraught: the closing of all the vending machines. During the day, vending machines are closed to students leaving them only open to use before or after school. This is due to the new rules being put in for public schools concerned about our health. An update, for example, to the Farm and Health Bill has limited accessibility to soda vending machines, especially in schools. Many Champe kids are upset as this was their main food source during school.

“I don’t like it because sometimes when I’m late, I don’t grab a lunch,” senior Neha Avala said, “so I usually just go there and get like a pack of fruit snacks or something.”
