In December, Champe’s very own, Bethany Graham, competed at the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championship. Graham has been a runner to watch, not only in Loudoun County, but in the state of Virginia over the past three years while constantly setting new school records and winning division, region, and state titles left and right for both track and cross country.
This year, Graham’s senior year, she won a state title which then put her in the running for Nationals where she placed 20th overall.
“I was kind of disappointed with it, I think I went out too fast because my adrenaline was pumping.” Graham says when asked about her race that she was in the lead for a majority of. “It was a tough race but I was just super excited to be there and such a cool experience running at such a historic race and with so many amazing runners.”
