LSU beats Clemson in the College Football Final

On Monday, January 13, 2019, the LSU Tigers beat the Clemson Tigers 42-25 and won their first title since 2007. The game started out with Clemson in the lead (7-0) with LSU only having 3 yards for their first 2 possessions. LSU figured out Clemson’s defense tactics and tied the game with a 52 yard touchdown in the 1st quarter. Clemson came back and got another TD and 3pt field goal with the score at 17-7. LSU came back in the 2nd and 3rd quarter and managed to score 5 more touchdowns. Clemson only managed to score 1 more.

The LSU quarterback, Joe Burrow, broke the single-season record for the NCAA’s top-tier Football Bowl Subdivision by throwing 60 touchdown passes. He passed for 5,671 yards and won the 2019 Heisman Trophy. He’s had an impeccable year and has a bright future ahead of him.
