Students are suing the University of California to stop using the SAT and ACT in the admissions process due to unfair bias against students.
By relying on these standardized tests the admissions system can illegally discriminate against students based on race, wealth, and disability which violates the California Constitution. They say that the use of standardized tests has created a test-prep industry that gives certain students more advantages than others. If the students are successful this could significantly change the testing industry.
