The Nationals are Headed to the Postseason!

After beating the Philadelphia Phillies in a clean sweep on Tuesday, the Washington Nationals clinched a spot in the Major League Baseball postseason for the fifth time in eight years!  All three games against the Phillies consisted of multiple solo home runs from players like Michael A. Taylor and Yan Gomes and a grand slam by Trea Turner during the sixth inning of the final game to help the Nats in a come from behind win.  On top of great offense showed by the Nationals, pitching and defense seemed to show up as well.  Max Scherzer struck out more than ten batters for the 93rd time in his career, more than any other pitcher in the MLB.

As Nationals fans prepare for the excitement of October postseason,  looking at the record this may very well be the greatest season in franchise history.
