The John Champe varsity volleyball team beat rival Freedom High School at home this past Monday by winning 3 straight sets giving them great momentum before starting conference games next week.

The Knights had a strong game beating their rival, winning all three sets partially due to their positive energy and desire to win. After the big win against Freedom, the team can take what they learned from their game and use it next week against Battlefield High School, their first conference opponent.

“My team won against Freedom yesterday mainly because of our energy and having the strong desire to win,” varsity junior Thanh Nguyen said.
