Champe DECA students are participating in DECA state competition this upcoming Friday.

“93 (yes, 93) students will be traveling to VA Beach to compete in the DECA state competition,” DECA sponsor Kaitlin Murray said in her email to her colleagues. “Please wish them good luck!”

In this annual competition, DECA students from all over Virginia gather and compete business ideas. Each student or group is assigned a category of business, and they come up with a successful business plan to present to the judges. The best idea wins.

“It prepares you for real life business experience,” said Alex Kelly, who is going on the trip for the third time this year, “fun time with classmates.”

Champe DECA students will be getting on a charter bus this friday and traveling to Virginia Beach, where they hope to make great memories.
