Neil deGrasse Lie-son

Tchiya Amet stated publicly in 2010 that Neil deGrasse Tyson had sexually assaulted her when the two were in graduate school together. However, her story did not get any attention until this year when Ashley Watson and Katelyn Allers accused Tyson of similar crimes, with a fourth unknown woman coming forward to Buzzfeed just on Wednesday.

“When I would see him on TV, I would be triggered” said Amet to Vox.com. “I continue to wonder if he is still hurting women”

Amet has not been the only woman to make a statement. The aforementioned unknown woman made a statement to BuzzFeed news on regarding the allegations stating that Tyson had made suggestive and inappropriate comments to her and asked her to join him in his office. Additionally, both Watson and Allers have spoken out regarding the misconduct.

While details about the allegations and potential court case are still unclear, we can only hope that justice will prevail for these four women.
