On Monday night, the Washington Nationals traveled to Wrigley Field, just north of downtown Chicago, to play the Chicago Cubs. Former Cub Jon Lester was starting for the Nationals, with another former Cub, Kyle Schwarber, playing left field. Both players received standing ovations throughout the game. Lester threw five and a third innings, allowed eight hits, five runs, and struck out four without allowing a walk. Kyle Schwarber had a return that was a bit better. He went one for three, hit a home run and walked once. All in all, it was a special day for both players even though the Nationals ended up losing.
