The 29th MTV Awards took place on May 16, 2021, 9:00 PM EDT hosted by Leslie Jones and Nikki Glaser. WandaVision was the big winner, the Disney+ series earned four trophies, including best show and best performance in a show. Other winners included the late Chadwick Boseman for best performance in a movie (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) and “Edge of Great” from Julie and the Phantoms for best musical moment.
