Thousands of people in major cities, took to the streets to protest for Palestine and show their support on Saturday. This day was crucial, as May 15th is Nakba, which marks their displacement in the 1948 war with Israel. Flash forward, 70 years and the violence has still not stopped as Israel continues to attack Gaza with weaponry for the sixth consecutive day in a row. From London to Washington D.C to Madrid, thousands of Muslims and Non-Muslims alike showed up to show their support for the Palestinian community. Thousands of people marched along these famous cities holding up posters with several different sayings that showcased their support. Everyone is hoping that these protests will help force governments to take action in supporting Palestine rather than staying silent and allowing Israel to destroy innocent Palestinians and their land. The people have now become the media, and are utilizing their rights to protest against dehumanization and apartheid.
