Sheikh Jarrah is a Palestinian neighborhood located in East Jerusalem, and Israelis are forcing out innocent families from their homes within this community. The Israeli government agreed to evict these families and allow Israeli settlers to take over their homes instead. Furthermore, Israelis have been using violence against Palestinians by attacking the sacred masjid of Al Aqsa with weaponry as Muslims try to pray during the holy month of Ramadan. Palestinians are not only losing their homes, but also their freedom as they are helpless victims being forced into oppression. Israelis and Palestinians have had conflict ever since Israeli settlers tried to take over the city of Jerusalem as their own. Since then, Israelis have tortured, abused, and harmed hundreds of Palestinian’s men, women, and children who are just trying to live a peaceful life in their beautiful city and homes. Many countries, especially the U.S have been silent on this matter as they fund the Israeli military who is going through with all of these actions. It is essential for countries around the world to take action to help these Palestinian victims and help them fight against this oppression and hardship.
