After a six month mission on the International Space Station SpaceX Crew-1 landed in the Gulf of Mexico earlier this week. The crew consisted of three American and one Japanese astronaut. Their return to Earth went just as planned and they are very excited to be back on earth, even though they loved being in space. This mission set a few milestones for humans and our space journey thus far. This is the first time a U.S. space capsule has landed under the cover of darkness since 1968, the second time that a spacecraft has splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico, and this crew set the record for the most days in space by a crew launched on a United States spacecraft. It is an amazing feat and shows a lot of promise for future space missions.
