Biden Unveils American Families & Jobs Plan

On April 28th, the Biden Administration announced the American Families and American Jobs Plan. These come after the American Rescue plan that gave payments up to $1,400 per person back in March. The American Jobs Plan include investing in infrastructure and workforce to create jobs lost in the pandemic. The American Families Plan includes a push for four-year free education, universal preschool, two years of free community college, childcare, paid family leave, and more.

However, the plans are expected to see opposition due to the slim majority in the Senate and the Congressional Republican Party’s existing plan for infrastructure. One way to get the plans passed will be through chopping them up and individually passing them through Congress, a process that takes months.
