The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Phillip, has passed away the morning of April 9th, 2021, according to a statement sent out by The Royal Family. The Queen of England has now transitioned into an 8 day mourning period , where she will not carry out any royal duties and affairs of state will be put in pause. The Royal Family has also asked for members of the public to consider donating to charities in memory of The Duke.
