Residents had come together to receive there COVID-19 vaccine, as well as partake in shopping at a King Soopers Grocery Store when a gunman opened fire. Officers response time to this occurrence had taken only minutes. The suspect had been shot during the exchange of gunfire. He only suffered injury to the leg and was then taken into custody after being treated. There is no mention of the motive of the suspect, Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa who had opened fire at this grocery store, but he had been charged with 10 counts of murder.
