Super Bowl is Super Spreader

The Super Bowl has always been a major event in the United States and consists of huge parties, tons of food, and crowded restaurants where everyone comes together to watch the game. However, this year fans were warned to lay low due to the Coronavirus pandemic as all of these rituals are against COVID protocols. While COVID measurements were taken during the game, over 22,000 people were crowded in the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s stadium and were watching the game. Furthermore, tons of social media pictures and videos show thousands of mask less fans running through the streets and ignoring social distancing guidelines. This is very concerning, as Florida holds 29% of all cases in the country and with new strains of the virus emerging, cases can rise even more rapidly. Health officials are extremely worried because the country can not afford to have a surplus of cases. Many people who have been following strict guidelines are upset and frustrated as they are doing their part as citizens while others are breaking rules and damaging the country. With everything happening with COVID its important to follow all guidelines because the country is spiraling out of control and we may not recover from this.
