Football Team Loses to Buccaneers

On Saturday night, the Washington Football Team faced off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Prior to the game, Washington hadn’t made it to the postseason in five years. Even though the Football Team lost 31-23, they got a surprisingly great performance from quarterback Taylor Heinicke. Heinicke wasn’t even on the Football Team’s roster to start the season. In fact, Heinicke was taking classes at Old Dominion University when the Football Team offered him a spot on their practice squad. Heinicke was ultimately the Football Team’s fourth string quarterback, but with a horrible injury to Kyle Allen, Dwayne Haskins getting cut, and Alex Smith dealing with a calf injury, it was Heinicke who would matchup against Tom Brady on Saturday night. Heinicke showed off his legs more than anything. He was able to escape danger and extend plays, which couldn’t have been more evident than it was on his touchdown run. With plenty of defenders on him, Heinicke manages to escape everyone, run towards the end zone, dive, and hit the pylon for a touchdown. On the other side of the football, Washington had no answers for Tom Brady’s many weapons, and ended up getting outscored.
