China’s Annual Ice Festival Underway

Every year, China holds an ice festival, here visitors can find some of the most breathtaking sculptures, which are made completely out of ice. The event features huge sculptures, most of which are lit up by colorful, bright lights. This year is China’s 37th festival and it is in the city of Harbin. Normally, the festival features activities such as ice skating, football, and sledding; however, due to small Covid outbreaks in nearby cities they have been cancelled. Do not fear though, the sculptures are still on display for people to see. The festival is known for its ice palace, which will still be featured in this years sculptures. In order to go you must follow the Covid protocall of temperature checks, mask wearing, and social distancing.
