Indians will no longer be the name of the Cleveland Baseball Team

For 105 years, the baseball team in Cleveland, Ohio has been known as the Indians. 105 years will be how long the Indians name will have lasted because a name change is said to happen soon. This is a big deal in the sports world because first, it follows the name change of the Washington Redskins to the Washington Football Team, and secondly, it will be the first name change in baseball since the Tampa Bay Devil Rays turned into the Tampa Bay Rays in 2007. Many people have come up with names they would like to see the Cleveland team have going forward, but the overwhelming favorite has been to bring back the Cleveland Spiders. The Cleveland Spiders are an interesting part of baseball history.  The Spiders were around from 1889-1899. They were around for such a short time because, well, they were quite literally the worst baseball team ever, finishing their 1899 season with a record of 20 wins and 134 losses.
