Singer, Rita Ora paid a $13,000 Covid fine for hosting a large birthday party at a London restaurant. To celebrate turning 30, Ora attended the restaurant with 30 members of her friends and family. Fans and locals in London are furious with the star for flaunting her actions amidst the second lockdown happening currently in London. A group of this size is only allowed to gather for a funeral under current restrictions in London. Fans feel it is outrageous that everyone is following strict regulations, while Ora is acting as though the virus does not exist. Ora quickly apologized for her actions on Instagram, claiming the party was a spur of the moment decision. She also said her actions were inexcusable and irresponsible, and felt it was very wrong when thousands of people are suffering due to Covid. The singer voluntarily paid the fine because she felt extremely guilty and hopes this will help make up for her mistake.
