Netflix launched Queen’s Gambit on October 23rd, and it has been a hit since. In just the first 28 days after it aired, more than 62 million people had already finished watching the series. Furthermore, the show hit Number 1 in 63 different countries and entered the top ten in 92 countries. The show is based on the 1983 book by Walter Tevis, and is about a young orphan chess prodigy and her dreams of becoming the world’s best player. Anya Taylor-Joy stars in this hit drama as the main character with exceptional acting skills. Set in the mid 1950’s, this series has a captivating story line filled with colorful characters that will make you binge the whole series in just one day. With a 100% Rotten Tomatoes, this show is well worth the watch.
