The Tokyo olympics were supposed to take place July 24th, 2020, but when Coronavirus hit, the games were postponed to a later date. However, recently the chief of the Olympic Games, Thomas Bach, said he not only thinks the games will happen, but spectators will also able to attend. Bach is depending on a vaccine to make the Olympics happen as they were in a “pre-COVID” world. The games are scheduled to take place in July of 2021 as of now. Bach and Yoshihide Suga, Japan’s Prime Minister, have been frequently meeting and are hopeful for what the future holds.
