Drugmaker Pfizer released an early look at the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday which shows it is around 90% effective.
The interim analysis studied the beginning 94 cases of COVID-19 within the 43,000 volunteers got placebo injections or 2 doses of the vaccine. They found that more than 90% of the cases were people who had the placebo injection. Pfizer said that the vaccine gave protection from the virus 7 days after the second dose and 28 days after the first dose.
