Maryland Stuns Penn State Saturday

The 1-1 Maryland Terrapins traveled to State College, Pennsylvania, to take on the 0-2 Penn State Nittany Lions. Maryland, just like they were against Minnesota, were huge underdogs in this matchup. Also like the Minnesota game, Maryland started out well. Leading 14 to nothing after the first quarter. Maryland kept their foot on the gas during the second quarter too, extending their lead by 21 points at half. Maryland tacked on another seven points to their lead in the third quarter, and lead by 28 going into the fourth quarter. Penn State ended the game by scoring 12 unanswered points, but Maryland still walked away with a convincing 35-19 win over Penn State. Taulia Tagovailoa stepped up again, throwing for 282 yards and three touchdowns. The defense also stepped up for the Terrapins, allowing their lowest point total of the season so far.
