French president Emanuel Macron made a statement saying, ¨Islam is a crisis in the world,¨ and has continued to disregard Muslims throughout France. Macron wants to make Islam more modernized for French society by banning the hijab completely in public places, although it has already been banned in schools, beaches, and workplaces. He also refuses to take down cartoons of Prophet Muhammad, claiming it is freedom of expression, however this is strictly not allowed in Islam.

Macron´s remarks come after a radical student beheaded a teacher for showing cartoons of the Prophet in class. Although it is not allowed to show these pictures, Islam does not condone this violence. However, rather than blaming just the radical few, Macron has decided to blame all Muslims for this crime. His statements have caused a rise in Islamophobia in the country which led to two innocent Muslim women getting killed next to the Eiffel Tower by Anti-Muslim attackers.

Dozens of Muslim countries are upset with Macron´s actions and have decided to protest and boycott French products. The boycott has already caused France to lose $28 billion in just the first day of the markets opening. French company stocks are also plummeting extremely. Macron´s next steps are crucial in determining his foreign relationships with Muslim countries and how France will be viewed by the rest of the world.
