The Supreme Court ruled Monday night that Pennsylvania election officials have up to 3 days after the election to count mail in ballots. This shot down a GOP request to stop extended periods of time for mail in ballots in Pennsylvania.
However, earlier this year, the Supreme Court sided with South Carolina saying that mail in ballots must have a witness’ signature to count. This struct down the waiver that signatures would not be required on mail in ballots because of the coronavirus pandemic.
