NASA and Nokia are teaming up to put a 4G network on the moon. This project has a pretty price tag of 14 million dollars, and at this point you’re probably wondering why the moon would even need signal. Well, NASA has plans of building a moon base by the year 2028 which would need wireless technology to function. The signal will be used for data transmissions, rovers, and GPS. The 4G network is believed to be more reliable than the current radio system that is being used. The signal is also most likely going to be stronger than the signal we have here on Earth due to the fact that there are no buildings or trees to interfere. The 4G signals will not come from towers as they do on earth, instead Bell Labs have come up with a micro version of the towers to support the signals in outer space.
