When 5-year-old Carver found out about the fires going on in California, Oregon, and Washington, he decided to send a Baby Yoda toy with a note reading: “Thank you firefighters, Here is a friend for you, in case you get lonely. Love, Carter”. In response, the firefighters now take the doll on all of their missions, documenting it on this facebook page.

“These firefighters are away from their children, their loved ones,” Carver’s grandmother, Sarah Tinning told CNN. “This is a little pal that brings a bit of normalcy to a crazy time.”
