Black-ish star Yara Shahidi will be cast as Tinkerbell in Disney’s new Live Action Remake of Peter Pan entitled Peter Pan and Wendy. Along with Shahidi, actors Jude Law, Alexander Molony, and Ever Anderson will be starring in the film.

“It’s cool that they finally found some kind of representation,” an anonymous junior said. “Knowing them, it’s all we’ll be getting.”

Disney has had a history of erasing scenes with diverse characters in the past. One such example is how a scene from their 2017 Live Action, Beauty and the Beast was cut out for foreign audiences as it featured two men dancing together.

“It’s their loss if they try to cut her out. It’s not like their last live action did great,” the junior said.
