Apple released iOS 14 last Wednesday as the most current iOS mobile operating system developed by the company. The major update includes key features like widgets, App Library, Compact UI, and many more. Widgets, which has become one of the most popular aspects of the update, allows users to add widgets to their home screens from apps such as calendar, weather, news, and other third parties. Along with this, Apple added App Library, which is a space at the end of your home screen that allows users to access their apps in an “easy-to-navigate” way and choose to hide certain home screen pages easily. Lastly, one of the most awaited features, Compact UI allows users to receive phone calls as a banner rather than it taking up the entire screen.
Overall, this update allows Apple users to be much more customizable with their products and is a great change in look from the standard Apple home screen that we’re used to. While some may argue that Apple just copied a few of Samsung’s features, they definitely executed it better than their competitor.
