On Sunday, the newly named Washington Football Team came back and defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 27-17. Washington went down 17-0 with about seven minutes remaining in the first half. After that touchdown, the Eagles were given a 94% chance of winning, and after a few plays into Washington’s drive, that went up to a 96.6% chance of winning. Washington scored a touchdown before halftime to bring the score to 17-7. The second half, was a different story. The Football Team scored another 20 points in the second half, and beat the Eagles 27-17. The Football Team’s defense played very well recording eight sacks, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles, leading to a 1-0 record to start the season.
