Ed Sheeran and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, announced the birth of their daughter, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, on September 1. Sheeran and Seaborn have been together since 2015, and tied the knot last year. The couple has been fairly quiet throughout the entirety of the pregnancy. They planned to keep the pregnancy completely out of  the public, but a close friend of theirs told one news source about the pregnancy, and within hours the news was all over the internet.

Sheeran is known to not post on social media very often, so his adorable post welcoming his daughter into the world was quite a shock to his fans. In his post, Sheeran said, “… Cherry gave birth to our beautiful daughter… We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here.” It’s good to see they’re all healthy, especially at a hectic time like this. Now we just wait fo the adorable baby-inspired songs we know Sheeran has up his sleeves!
