NASA’s wavy worm logo from the 1970’s is going to come back on the SpaceX Falcon 9 that is scheduled to launch in May.

The worm logo may appear on other projects in the future but the official logo remains the same, the same design that was introduced in 1959 after the agency was created and was replaced by the worm from 1975 to 1992. The worm was introduced in 1975 as Richard Nixon’s administration altered many federal agency’s graphics. The worm will come back to prominence on the SpaceX Falcon but it has been present on clothing and souvenirs.
