An Asteroid With A Face Mask

On Wednesday, April 29th, an asteroid that looks like it’s wearing a face mask will fly by Earth. The asteroid, which will be close enough to see with a telescope, is an estimated 1.2 miles wide and was first spotted in 1998. It was named 52768 (1998 OR2) and will pass by earth within 3,908,791 miles (16 times farther than the moon). The asteroid has many hills and ridges on one end of it, making it look as if it had a face mask on. The asteroid had been originally classified as a potential hazard because of its size and how close it will fly by, however, experts have said that it will safely fly by this time.
