2020 Summer Olympics Are Postponed

The 2020 Olympics, which were set to take place in Tokyo, have been postponed to summer of 2021, due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19. They are not changing the logo, meaning it will still be referred to as “Tokyo 2020”. COVID-19 first started in Wuhan, China, and has spread all over the world, becoming a massive pandemic.

“Humankind currently finds itself in a dark tunnel. These Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 can be a light at the end of this tunnel.” ” IOC president Thomas Bach said at a news conference on Monday.
