This past weekend, the Champe Equestrian Team attended the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) region finals where they were one of four teams competing, across three states. The team had many good rides from their high school riders, and ended up fourth overall. This means that the team did not qualify for IEA zone finals, but there were two high schoolers that individually qualified and will be moving on. Marissa Jones, a senior, and Linnea Stripling, a sophomore, both qualified for zones by getting first or second place at regionals. They will compete at Zones on February 29 at Liberty University. If they get first or second at Zones, they will move onto compete at Nationals on April 17 in Los Angeles, California.
